Guys, this is my first ever shoot blog and it should have gone up ages ago but here we are! We’re doing the dang thing!

Kelsey Halm and I were planning a European styled shoot when Kelsey made a connection with Magnolia Grace Creative, a social media marketing company based in Charleston, SC. One of their clients happened to be Francis and Benedict. If you haven’t heard of Francis and Benedict, they are a non-profit organization that “exists to empower and equip skilled Togolese seamstresses by providing them with dignified and sustainable employment.” When we heard they were looking to break into the bridal industry, we thought they could be a great addition to our shoot.

These skirts are perfect bridesmaids attire and can easily be dressed up or down depending on the top and the accessories you select. The skirts come in a variety of lengths and patterns. They even feature pockets for added convenience.

When Kelsey came to me with the concept of adding a bridal editorial shoot into our European style shoot I was all in. The brand message and philanthropic aspect had my heart singing. What started out as a day forecasted with rain and clouds turned into such a hot, sunny day. Including multiple looks and bridesmaids to the mix was such an exciting element. Thank you to all of the lovely vendors who made this day possible.

We had a wonderful team of vendors assisting us in creating this dream of a shoot. 563 King St hosted us in their beautiful outdoor event space. The shoot was photographed by the lovely and talented Kelsey Halm. Hair services were provided by Best Day Ever Bridal and makeup services were provided by Makeup by Elana Greene. Jewelry was handmade by Dee Ruel. The jumpsuit the bride is wearing is a piece from Model Bride. The groom’s suit jacket is from Charleston Tuxedo. The table linen was from Nuage Designs. The Groom’s bowtie was from Botany Bowties.

The models for the shoot were Allysa Mariano, Matt Dillon, Nicki Shriver, and Devin Walsh.
