Creating Your Guest List

A large task set to planning your wedding is to create and perfect your guest list. Knowing your budget will allow you to know the number of guests you will be able to invite. Along with your budget, you want to make sure that your guest list matches the level of intimacy you are envisioning for your wedding day. It can be tough when you have to make cuts and narrow down your guest list. If you would like to omit children from your guest list remember that using guidelines such as “no children under 12” will be a fair and neutral rule for your guests. Also understand that you, your fiancé, and your parents may not agree on every decision when it comes to the guest list. It’s never easy to cut people from your guest list but categorizing guests into an A and a B list could be a compromise. You will invite however many guests you are able to host at your wedding and as any regrets come back in the mail you can send out invitations to the first people on your B list. Organization is your best friend when it comes to creating your guest list. Utilizing your Aisle Planner account (if you’re one of our couples) and the guest manager feature will help you stay organized. No matter what happens, keep in mind that you are on your way to marrying your best friend soon and this is just one step to get you closer to your special day!
