Thinking About a Intimate Wedding or Elopement? 3 Reasons You Should Still Hire Professional Vendors

This year has been tough for so many people. It breaks my heart to think about all of the tragedy we’ve seen this year - the wedding industry included. It’s been so hard to watch hearts break by couples feeling forced to change their plans for reasons beyond their control. Postponing isn’t always an option for everyone. We’re seeing more and more couples opt for civil ceremonies, intimate weddings, microweddings or elopements. No matter what you call it, there are many reasons to opt for a smaller wedding. From wanting to make sure loved ones like grandparents will be here to witness your marriage, to wanting to start a family sooner rather than later, every couple has their “why” behind choosing to abandon their original plans.

Despite the smaller size of the nuptials, there are still logistical tasks that need to be tackled. You may not think you need a planner due to the size, but I’m here to give you three reasons you should consider hiring a planner.

Reason Number One

Even though you are planning a smaller wedding or city hall wedding, there are often times still lots of to-dos to tackle. There’s still paperwork to file, vendors to hire, and logistics to coordinate. Will you hire a photographer? If so, who would be the best fit based on the number of hours you want to hire them for? Did you know there are photographers that specialize in capturing small weddings? A planner can hook you up with the perfect fit based on personality, size of your day and aesthetic. Or do you want to hire transportation services so you can toast the town and not worry about getting from place to place? A planner can help you build the best vendor team for you and your unique day.

Reason Number Two

One of the main reasons people hire a planner is to give them peace of mind on their wedding day. They can go into their day knowing they have someone there to put out fires in the instance something goes wrong. I want clients to be able to be present and the best version on themselves on their wedding day. Having a go-to helping hand makes soaking in every aspect of the small wedding reception possible.

Reason Number Three

Sometimes couples opt for a smaller version of the wedding they had originally planned. This means all of the same vendors and the same services but with less guests. Having less guests CAN make a wedding day easier to manage. Logistically it can be nearly identical. There’s still rentals to load in and load out, photos to be taken, decor to be set up.
